Our Supporters

Many, many good people and organizations help us.

We are most grateful to all of them

To name a few:

Voices of African Mothers supports our Conflict Resolution program. For example, they conducted training for the staff of John William Montessori School in Conflict Resolution techniques.

Scarsdale Friends Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), and other Friends have donated generously to our Conflict Resolution program, providing the financing which made possible our first two summer programs.Much tangible support also came from the Peace Education and Conflict Ethos (PEACE) Institute of Oswego State University.

That Nothing Be Lost Thrift Store and Antique Shop located in Graymoor, Garrison, New York supports St. Christopher's Inn and its residents. For some years now they have have kindly donated such things as left-over seasonal summer material (clothes, bedding, shoes and children's things). The associated foundation has helped us with the cost of our shipments to Ghana.

International Cultural Youth Exchange
They have provided volunteer teachers and registered nurses for the school clinic. Among many other things, the ICYE volunteers have decorated classrooms and organized the school library.

Fabkom, Incorporated
has generously helped us with donations of computers and networking equipment since 2000.

AfricaOnLine
John William Montessori School gets its Internet access from AfricaOnLine. It is expensive, some $8000 USD per year, but we do appreciate their help.

The African-American Heritage Club of the Sleepy Hollow Middle and High School adopted the John William Montessori School in 1997, after JWMS students came to visit them in Tarrytown, New York in cultural exchange program. They returned the visit in 2005 and brought many school supplies.
