A remarkable storm blew the brand new roof off of the John William Montessori School in Kumasi, Ghana in March of 2000.

Some of us living overseas in fortunate circumstances felt we should help the school.

We set about raising funds to put on a new roof and to help replace the lost materials and equipment.

We soon decided to also support the programs in HIV / AIDS Awareness and Conflict Resolution.

That is how Friends of John William Education Center began and describes what we continue to do.
